We are pleased to announce that APEx will be featured at the upcoming ESA Big Data from Space (BiDS) conference, where we will present a live demonstration of APEx services alongside several other interesting talks highlighting the technologies used within the project.
The BiDS conference serves as a key platform for the Earth Observation (EO) community and stakeholders to engage in discussions on how data, platforms, and technologies are advancing scientific research and practical applications. During this event, APEx will showcase its role in fostering reusability and collaboration within EO research. In addition to the APEx demonstration, the conference program also includes various tutorials and demonstrations related to technologies utilized by APEx.

Tutorial: Code Once, Reuse at Scale: Build Scalable EO Workflows

Participants will have the opportunity to gain practical experience in building reusable, scalable services using openEO within the Copernicus Data Space Ecosystem (CDSE) through real-world examples. The session will cover leveraging User Defined Processes to create and share services with the EO community. The use of openEO, CDSE, and User Defined Processes aligns with the APEx Interoperability and Compliance Guidelines for algorithm developers, ensuring algorithms can be deployed as scalable services and shared as reusable components within existing workflows. Through our APEx Algorithm Support services, APEx provides support to projects for porting existing projects to openEO.

Demo: Empowering EO Projects with Cloud-Based Working Environments in APEx
